Explorística 2.0 - Patchwork

About: Explorística 2.0 - Patchwork

Explorática 2.0 is an initiative of the National Institute of Statistics, aiming to bring to the educational communities the foundations of Statistics and Probabilities (with a special focus on Sampling), transmitting the concepts in a practical and experimental way.

Explorística 2.0 integrates several games, each involving various activities such as selecting, collecting, describing and estimating.

Patchwork - After a bank robbery, it is discovered that there are scraps of fabric in a nearby garden and several suspects are arrested whose pants were torn as they passed through that garden. Collecting pieces of fabric on the spot to make a representative sample based on this pattern seeks to identify the burglar in terms of his torn clothing.
