Bobby Fisher famously said that chess was ruined by the overdevelopment of opening theory.
He said that preparation and memorization was more important than talent.
Fisher created random chess (now called chess960) to increase the importance of creativity.

But technology not available in Fisher's time has allowed the development of a new game: MidGameChess.
It maximizes creativity so that the game often ends in a win or loss instead of a draw.

In a MidGameChess game the opening is entirely eliminated.
Play starts with a middle game position from a collection of 1 million!
The position is a Completely New Game - arrived at by a sequence of moves not in the database.

Once as black, then as white.

Clubs are encouraged to use MidGameChess in innovative ways.

With enough support MidGameChess could replace chess960 as a game worthy of a World Championship.
