TABE stands for Test of Adult Basic Education gauges your skills in reading, math, and language. You will apply them in the workforce or classroom.
The TABE test score does not identify you pass or fail, but it can qualify your eligibility for many programs that can affect positively your life situation.

The number of questions you'll face will depend on which TABE version you take. On the complete battery TABE test, you will need to complete 195 multiple-choice questions, while it is 100 questions on the smaller survey exam. Each test version covers three sub-tests that are optional to take. These include the vocabulary, spelling, and language mechanics sections. There are only 20 questions for each optional section.
Below are breakdowns of the main four portions of the TABE test.

Complete TABE Battery

In the full battery, 195 questions are divided into 4 sub-tests as follows:
Reading: 50 questions in 50 minutes
Language : 55 questions in 55 minutes
Math Computation: 40 questions in 24 minutes
Applied Math: 50 questions in 55 minutes

The 100 survey questions are also divided into four sections:
Reading: 25 questions in 25 minutes
Language : 25 questions in 25 minutes
Math Computation: 25 questions in 15 minutes
Applied Math: 25 questions in 25 minutes
