Smokies 900

About: Smokies 900

Smoky Mountains 900 is the ultimate companion for the 900-Miler Challenge — hiking every maintained trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Built by hikers, for hikers, it replaces cumbersome spreadsheets with a fast, beautiful way to track all 800+ miles.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
• Interactive map shows completed trails in green and what's left in blue
• Log hikes in a few taps, down to individual trail sections
• Filter to find orphan sections and plan your next outing
• Already tracking in the SMHC spreadsheet? Import your .xls and your history loads automatically

HIKE WITH FRIENDS (New!)
• Add hiking friends with a simple friend code
• See each other's progress — sections, miles, and percent complete
• Shared Gaps shows the sections you all still need, so you can plan hikes that move everyone closer to 900 miles

CURRENT PARK CONDITIONS
• Live NPS alerts and closures
• Current weather at Gatlinburg, Clingmans Dome, Cades Cove, and Cherokee
• Real-time river levels and air quality
• Community-shared trail conditions — creek crossings, blowdowns, wildlife — from fellow 900-milers

PLAN SMARTER
• AI Route Planner builds custom hikes from your real trail history
• AI trail summaries distill what other hikers are seeing on trail
• Trailhead Hub Explorer: parking, facilities, and closures for all 10 hubs
• Switch between OpenStreetMap and NPS base layers on the map

REMEMBER EVERY MILE
• Attach photos to each hike for a growing digital scrapbook
• Automatic historical weather captured for every entry
• Export your full history to CSV for official SMHC 900-miler submission
