Although the app was developed by Chevron, we know this app can be used by all of industry. The heart of the Start Work Checks app is to prevent fatalities. We developed it because we saw within our own company a need for change when it came to fatalities. Therefore, we developed the Save Your Life Actions and the Start Work Checks. The Save Your Life Actions are a set of rules to remind individuals doing high risk activities that these key items need to be in place in order to prevent a serious injury or fatality. The Start-Work Checks help ensure those are in place before starting work. Although it’s an app developed by Chevron, we know that we can’t succeed in preventing fatalities unless everyone succeeds. This app is not for Chevron employees. It’s an app for our business partners and competitors. This app will save lives. We know this, because we’ve seen this. At the end of the day, we want everyone to go home safe. And this app will help that.
