Thousands of people in Canada die every year due to accidental overdoses. The Overdose App was created by youth who have lost friends to accidental overdoses. The purpose is to spread awareness and create forward-moving conversations about the overdose epidemic. As well as educate the public on how to identify someone overdosing. Once identified, the application walks users through the steps they need to take to save someones life.

We believe the more people that can recognize an overdose and offer assistance until an ambulance arrives, the more lives that will be saved.

Unfortunately in Canada, chances are you or someone you know will one day be in a situation where this information is needed. Be prepared and let’s build safer communities and a safer Canada.
