How it works - ghost box app makes use of EVP (Electronic voice phenomena) with the help of white noise generator and audio channel scanner (similar to a radio that changes stations quickly by rotating a knob).

Additionaly all samples are reversed to manifest different audio characteristics and let you experiment in a different ways. Also because audio is reversed, even if app picked up some short word in audio channel, it would not play it as it was (because it's reversed), so if you heard any word it's more likely because of EVP effect.
