KIP Defaulter Tracing app is a mobile app that was developed by the Kenya Ministry of Health to support electronic data collection of the Immunization Defaulters at health facilities offering vaccination services. The app allows the health workers to use a tablet to register children and track the children who have defaulted from their immunization as scheduled from the register. The key benefits for the health worker using the app includes: reduced time to search patients at the clinic through use of tablets, clinical decision support.
The KIP Defaulter Tracing app is built using Open Smart Register Platform (OpenSRP) which is android based open-source software that has previously been deployed for immunization platforms in other countries including Kenya.
