Smile Smart is a simple way to smile more and make your everyday brighter, lighter and HAPPIER. It is your smart helper that detects your smile with an image analyzing AI. The more you use the app, the more your day will be filled with happiness. The goal of this application is to help people smile and understand that even little acts like smiling could make their day better and potentially improve their wellness.

* This application is suitable for people of all ages and for anywhere they choose to use it.
* Benefits of smiling
Smiling not only makes someone look better, but also helps reduce stress, lift moods, boost positivity, and can even function as a weak pain reliever. Even if the smile is “fake”, the mere act of smiling can have the same positive effects.

When a person smiles neuropeptides get released by the brain alongside other neurotransmitters (dopamine, endorphins) most of which reduce stress and have many other positive effects.

* Technology
The application, Smile Smart, is one that opens the camera and uses AI image analysis with data from the camera to determine whether or not the user is smiling and records that data. The system needs to be able to record user data in a local space. Data is not used for any other purpose other than to give the user their smile statistics.

* Summary
The application is a self affirmation application that helps a user’s mental health by encouraging them to smile. The general functions of this application are the use of the camera and viewing personal statistics.

A user can:
Give the application the permissions to access local storage and the local camera of the mobile device.
This software should only affect the user and information that is stored within the local device will not be shared to anyone other than the user. All requests to access system functions will only be used for the simple purposes of the app with none of the information gathered in that way being released past the local device.
