App will be distributed to customers to receive material that we have shipped from our warehouse to customer sites.
Customer will use the app to acknowledge receipt of material and/ or to report issues related to the shipment.
The app will also be used by KGP warehouse supervisors for auditing the shipments before they are shipped to the customers.
General Contractor (GC) will receive at pallet level and report issues at case id or item level.
Pallet information currently resides in our warehouse management system (WMS), but we will build a separate DB on SQL server to pull the info. from WMS on a periodic basis. App will access this new DB and write back information to it. Need options as to where this DB would reside (in DMZ or on our internal servers – Pros and Cons)
Each pallet has a bar code and contractors will scan the bar code to receive the pallet. App will record receipt time and receiver’s user id.
Once pallet is scanned – there will be options to receive or report issues.
If report issue is selected – there could be overage, shrinkage or damage. We need to provide list of case ids for the scanned pallet.
Contractors might scan the case IDs or report that there are missing cases.
Display item nos. and qty for that case. They could select the individual item nos. to report issues – an item could be overage/shrinkage/damaged.
Give users these options to select from.
They could report an issue for a case. Case could have overage/shrinkage or could be damaged.
They will take pictures of the affected part/case. Allow up to 3 pics.
There could be an issue with more than one case/part etc. so allow the users to scan next case etc.
