Black Race (Brazilian Portuguese: ['? As?' Neg ??]); The "Black Race" Portuguese is a group of Brazilian pagodas from Sao Caetano do Sul, Sao Paulo.

The group formed in 1983, but did not release their first album until 1991, after a demo tape signed them with RGE. The album generated numerous hits in Brazil and over the next decade the group sold millions of albums. They made many appearances on Brazilian television. Among her hits are "Caroline", "I Want to See You Cry", "Just You", "Enough", "Gypsy", "When I Found You", "Full of Manias", "Sweet Passion" and "Take Me Together" with you ".

The group's music is perhaps best known to the English-speaking world as a result of a failure at a Brazilian CD-pressing plant in 1999. Several hundred copies of AOL CD-ROMs were accidentally pressed with a Black Race album instead. of the company's software.

It is noticed that the ensemble does not feature cavaquinho or banjo, traditional instruments with songs of the pagoda genre.
