“An app to help and prevent cyber bullying before it happens and make people aware about it.”

Cyber bullying is a growing social problem that has become all- too common in online communities. In fact, research indicates that one in five teens have been cyber bullied. Even in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic, cyber bullying is continuing to escalate. The more time children spend online or interacting with their phones, the more necessary tech monitoring becomes. Research has shown that those who are cyber bullied suffer a number of different consequences including struggling emotionally, physically, mentally and academically. Hence, it’s a significant stressor in a young person’s life which leaves people feeling hurt, embarrassed and sometimes even scared. This experience in turn impacts their self-esteem and feelings of self-worth.

Considering this as quintessential and need of the hour, I have developed this app which will surely help people to cope up with their cyber bullying experiences and teach them how to use technology safely and responsibly. Doing so will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Below are the core features which I have put in my app by which you can protect yourself from trolls, cyber bullies and other toxic people online:

1) An assessment to determine your cyber bullying role and henceforth takings steps according to the role played.
2) Various valuable tips to prevent cyber bullying.
3) 2 more assessments to understand whether you have been involved in cyber bullying or you have been cyber bullied.
4) The app also comes with an interesting feature, a Chat Bot which acts as a friend, makes the app interactive and helps the user in navigating through the app as well as understanding the features
5) A customised bottom navigation bar which helps you to conveniently navigate between various screens.
6) Emergency Helplines and Chat Lines which are available for you to contact in times of need
7) Informative videos, online community, activities and additional resources like websites to make yourself aware regarding the issue.

This screen comes with an assessment to determine your cyber bullying and take actions based on it. It also has a very informative illustration that can prevent the posting of abusive words on social media. Last but not least, an AI ChatBot is available which can be used by the user to understand the features of the app closely and when to use them.

- Psychoeducation
This screen comes with valuable and informative tips to cope up with cyber bullying experiences and prevent it. These tips have been recommended by professional and are useful in helping yourself. It also contains 2 assessments to recognize their involvement in cyber bullying and take measures.

- Resources
This screen comes with all the authentic and useful resources related to cyber bullying which are accessible to you at all times. The resources range from special 24/7 Help Lines and Chat Lines to online community to activities for coping up to informative short videos and websites with relevant information on the topic.
