Indonesian struggle songs are music created for national purposes. Song lyrics must contain elements that can arouse the spirit of struggle. Mainly for fighters in the colonial period.
Then, these songs are called compulsory songs because school teachers are required to teach the song to their students with the aim of instilling a love of water, appreciating and remembering heroes' services and emulating the spirit of their struggle.
