1. What is a Carbon Offset / Carbon Credit?
Carbon credits, also known as Verified Emission Reductions (VERs), are certified carbon offsets validating that one metric tonne (1000kg or 2204.6 pounds) of CO2 has been offset, meaning one tonne of carbon dioxide has been taken out of the atmosphere and stored long term, or that one metric tonne of carbon dioxide has been prevented from being emitted into the atmosphere.

2. Do I have to pay money?
Absolutely not! We believe that your climate impact is not limited to the money you spend to offset your unavoidable carbon emissions, but by the passion you have for solving climate change.

3. Where does my money go when I purchase Carbon Offsets?
We charge a flat rate of $0.50 a month as an administration fee, which comes to less than 10% of your total cost per month, which is one of the smallest percentages in the industry. We use a secure 3rd party, Stripe, to handle your financial information, which charges a little over $0.30 per transaction. The rest of your money goes to our Project Developers, who offset your carbon.
