To make all these stories come alive, we have developed the app CultureMaps Hannover and will constantly add new sights and stories to the app.

All POIs as audio

CultureMaps Hannover offers you all sights and POIs (Points Of Interest) with detailed descriptions, photos and audio. That means all texts are also available for listening. Some POIs are well known like the Herrenhäuser Gardens, the New Town Hall or the Maschsee, others tell stories unknown even to Hannoverians.

Interesting tours

With CultureMaps you can move around freely and navigate specifically to individual POIs or be guided along one of the tours through Hannover. You will automatically hear the description as soon as you approach a place of interest.

The route function

Soon, CultureMaps will have a unique route function. This will allow you to create your own route and POIs along the route or have them created according to your preferences. This feature makes CultureMaps your personal city and audio guide.

A comprehensive search

CultureMaps also has a comprehensive search function. If you have only one keyword in your head for a POI, simply enter it in the search mask and all POIs containing the word you are looking for will be displayed immediately.

Suggest POIs

The number of sights in CultureMaps will steadily increase. There are many interesting stories to tell and discover in almost every place. But for that, we need your help. Do you know any interesting places, things or stories in Hannover? Then please suggest them. Tap the third button from above in the map display, fill in the input fields and send a photo. Your data will remain confidential in any case. Our editors will check the facts and create a new POI - provided the information meets our criteria.
