“Immaculate, Most Holy and Purest Lady, Mother of Mercy, Mother of Grace, hope and refuge for all the afflicted, for all that I can represent You and most I can oblige you, I ask You for the Supreme Pontiff and most Prelates of the Holy Church, and for Peace among Christian princes, exaltation of the Catholic Holy Faith, extirpation of heresies, conversion of infidels and all those who, shaken by the spirit of unbelief, hesitate or doubt your powers and wonders. Attract, Madam, everyone, so that, surrendered, they may sing the proper praises to you. O most loving Mother, set eyes on your compassion in our beloved country. Destroy, O mighty Mother, any principle of error that may exist among us, for all Portuguese, in imitation of our greatest, united by the Catholic faith and corroborated in your love, form as a stronghold and be the defenders and proponents of it of your royalty. I surrender to You, Madam, with faith, reverence and humility, as far as my limited strength fits, my cults of affectionate devotion. Therefore, deign to accept my good will and that of all those who seek you with such fervor. Show that you are a Mother of immense pity and mercy, and that you are our refuge, our protection, and the effective remedy for all our ills. Therefore, I ask You, O Most Pure Mother, that you deign to console those who invoke you, remedying as you know and can all their needs. Do not deny me your patronage, because, after God, I place all my trust in You, as the only anchor of salvation and remedy; grant me this favor and with it also what I particularly ask of you (here you can express your particular request): grant me a most ardent love of yours, a fervent zeal for your honor and glory, a living faith, firm hope, and perfect charity and at the time of my death, deign to assist and comfort me, reaching the final grace, so that, for your merits and powerful intercession, and for the mystery of your most pure Conception, you deserve to go to see You and enjoy the your company in Heaven in the sight of your Most Holy Son, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit for all centuries. So be it."
