Intraday trading tips with a gap up stocks

Identify any stock with scrip value of more than Rupee 200 (Rs.200+)which has gapped up more than 1% then go to your trading terminal with live charts and add the stock.

That has opened with more than 1% and wait for it's two 15 minute candlesticks

When the first 15-minute candlestick is completed you have to see the opening of the second candlestick whether it has crossed low of first 15-minute candlestick or high of first 15-minute candlestick.

Then you have to take the short trade if the stock has crossed its first 15-minute candlestick and go long trade if it is crossed its first 15-minute candlestick.

Stoploss for short trade is high of the first 15-minute candlestick and for a long trade, the low of first 15-minute candlestick will be strick stop loss.

When to take trades whether short or long?

Practice the above-said technique with paper trades until you are confident to follow the trend of any gapped stock. Also, take trades possibly with the third candlestick which confirms the trend of gapped stock on either side.

As a thumb rule:

Remember to take confirmation with sellers are more than buyers when you take a short trade of your chosen stock

Buyers should be more in comparison to sellers when you wish to take long entry trades with any gap up stocks that should have gapped up more than 1% and scrip value of more than Rs.200
