LifeSkills created with Barclays helps equip young people with the key employability skills they need for work and connect them with work experience opportunities.
The programme focuses on core, transferable skills such as CV writing, interview skills, problem solving, adaptability, creativity, resilience, proactivity, communication and leadership. As well as financial know-how including managing a budget, calculating percentages and understanding how lending works.
The programme can be accessed directly by young people in their own time via the app, including interactive tools and videos. Teachers can also access hours of resources, lesson plans, interactive tools and quick-fire activities for use in the classroom.
Once a student completes LifeSkills modules either via the app, online or in the classroom, schools can unlock work experience. This will allow teachers to match pupils to local work experience opportunities.
