Did you know that your behavior today has a major impact on your health in old age? What you eat today and how much you exercise can increase your risk of chronic diseases like diabetes. We help you to make the right decisions today so that you can stay fit and healthy in the future.

WHAT IS THE FUTURE ME APP?



An innovative health app developed by a team from the University of St. Gallen and ETH Zurich. The app evaluates your shopping carts at Migros and Coop and gives you tips on how you can eat even more healthily. The app also tracks your steps and helps you get enough exercise.

HOW DOES THE APP WORK?
The FutureMe app connects to customer cards at Migros and Coop. Using our nutritional database, we evaluate how healthy your purchases are and where you can still improve. We also receive steps from the pedometer on your mobile phone and help you to take at least 7,500 steps every day.

WHY SHOULD I USE THE APP?
With the FutureMe app, we, as a research team from the University of St. Gallen and the ETH, are trying to investigate how people like you can be motivated to exercise more and eat a healthier diet. You can take part in our study by installing the app, filling out our questionnaires and trying out the app for over 3 months as you wish. As a thank you, we are raffling off the following prizes among the first 500 study participants: 1x CHF 500 shopping voucher from Migro / Coop, 15x CHF 100 shopping voucher.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH MY DATA?
We save the data collected in the FutureMe app in anonymised form for research purposes. For this we have the approval of the ethics committee of the University of St. Gallen until March 2023. We publish the results of our research here: http://www.ici.unisg.ch/en/insight-blog/

Helsana Zusatzversicherungen AG supported the development of the app. Helsana does not receive any data from the app, only an aggregated research report will be shared.
