About: Traffic Delay Study

Thank you for using Traffic Delay Study Application. This Application is designed to collect traffic delay information along up to three lanes at signal controlled or stop sign controlled intersections. It can also be used to collect queue lengths or traffic volumes.

When the data collection screen starts, press 1S, 2S, or 3S when a vehicle stops at the end of the queue along lane 1, 2, or 3. Press 1L, 2L, or 3L when a vehicle leaves the stop bar at lane 1, 2, or 3. The queue lengths will be displayed during the study.

Total stopped time, average stopped time per vehicle, total vehicle volumes, and the maximum queue length along each lane will be displayed. A text file, named "TrafficDelayData.txt", will be saved in your phone or tablet with all the time stamped data for each vehicle and study summaries should you want to generate additional traffic information.
